Every year many people go on holiday. It may be a short trip to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and stay somewhere quiet, or a trip to the sea to enjoy the sun and warm weather. Either way, tourists need somewhere to stay. And when it comes to the house options you can stay in, it will certainly depend on where you are going.

If you're setting off to the seaside or the coast, a bungalow, villa or a small cottage would be a great choice. A cottage is perfect for large groups of people or a family when you need to accommodate more than two people in one place. Bungalows and villas are often built very close to the beach, so you're likely to have beautiful sea or ocean views and the journey to the sea will not take more than ten minutes. Furthermore, you won't need a big place to stay at because you'll probably enjoy most of your holiday on the beach, sunbathing in the blazing sun, or swimming in the cool waters of the sea or ocean, but definitely not staying in. Honestly, the most common and, I think, favourite and absolutely ideal option for holiday accommodation in a seaside resort is a hotel (to be more precise, the best variant is to go on a package holiday). You don't have to cook or clean; all you have to do is relax and think about nothing, as everything is prepared for you beforehand by your travel agent.

If you want to set off for a city or country for a holiday where you can walk around the city, explore the architecture, cuisine, culture and arts, then renting a flat might be a better option. You may be able to get to know your neighbours, who can tell you more about the city or country you are visiting. Besides, if you are a group of teenagers and you don`t have a lot of money, youth hostels can be chosen. They are quite cheap, and everything that one needs is provided.

For lovers of snow resorts and mountains, there's also a perfect place to stay at. After being out in the cold and freezing temperatures for a long time, you'll definitely want to warm up inside a semi-detached house or a small cottage. It can be located directly in the mountains or stand apart from the others. A great solution is to rent a house with a fireplace - in cold weather, there is nothing better than to warm up by the fireplace and drink hot herbal tea, wrapped in a blanket.

And if you prefer to spend your holiday very actively and you adore nature, then camping or glamping in the country is what you need. Don't think of camping as a mandatory stay in a small and uncomfortable tent on the cold ground. Now camping has become much more comfortable thanks to heated tents made of metal and very durable waterproof fabric. Glamping is very similar to camping, but, in my opinion, a place for living looks much more interesting. In fact, it is a house in the form of a transparent hemisphere, which usually stands in the middle of the forest or next to it. You can see everything around you, fall asleep looking at the night sky and thousands of stars, but no one can disturb you as no one can see you. There are also plenty of conveniences — large and soft beds, washbasins, electricity and small cooking stoves — so you won't be cut off from the rest of the world.

To sum up, the most important thing when choosing a place to stay at on a holiday is your own personal comfort, I suppose. The most perfect is the most comfortable, isn't it?
