UNDERSTANDING PHRASEOLOGICAL UNTIS AS
NATIONALLY SPECIFIC METAPHORS
The topic of the article is understanding phraseological units as nationally specific metaphors. The research shows that English phraseological units used in fictional texts facilitate reflexivity linked to levels of thought-activity different from those which can be traced in the texts translated into Russian. The fact that Russian translations of the English phraseological units can facilitate different
reflexivity in terms of hermeneutic approach can prove that they are nationally specific metaphors whicС ЫОПХОМЭ ЭСО ЧКЭТШЧ’Ь аШЫХН ЯТОа КЧН are standard for
the whole nation.
